Sigh. I stayed out of this thread until now because Trac discussion has been done to death and I am tired of it. Your asking "exactly what did we change? What has improved?" is just asking to start another long discussion where feelings are hurt and no progress is made. The benefits of Trac were discussed in the original RFC and very few people besides you have voiced any problems with it. If you think Bugzilla is better, it would have been really helpful if you tested Trac when politely asked to try it during the RFC phase so that everyone can hear the complaints and decide yes or no.
We can see what we can do for the missing functionality for Trac which you pointed out in the original post.
