Note: this would also necessitate removing "more" from the chap. 5
util-linux, but AFAIK nothing in chap. 6 needs it - it's just there for
the user's convenience (though I never need it myself).
This is the reason I'm against it. Chapter 6 until Vim is installed
you only have some pagers, more and less, to view log files or
whatever else. Chris, you probably haven't built LFS without
scripting for a *long* time, but think back to your first build.
Did you occasionally find the need to page through log files or
whatever? I know I did. Wouldn't not having some way to view
files until Vim is built be just a tad difficult for first-time
builders?
Actually, I almost never *do* script LFS installations (since I tend to
do things slightly differently every time), but I do see your point. Of
course I usually build LFS in X, so browsing files can be done just by
using cat and scrolling through the xterm window.
