People still miss this. Does anyone know if bold text in the book helps
people pick out
important comments? Maybe we need to do something to make that part
stand out. Also, that part is missing something. The directory /dev
needs to be populated, too. Grub will want to communicate to block
devices sometime in the future.
Is it a good idea to include something about populating dev in that
part, too?
Yes, I think I agree with your assessment. The information is there, but
it is missed way too much. I don't think this is in the FAQ, so it
should at least be there, if nothing else. Randy are you still caring
for this?
But, really, +1 on the idea about including the /dev note and I also
agree that the whole thing is important enough to merit becoming a
separate note box.
