See the other thread I just started, "Successful Build of Cross-LFS"

Looking good Jeremy. I didn't read the whole thing, but I had a decent browse of it all.

I'm wondering about the chroot/reboot section though... is it easy/possible/feasible to make it more like this?

Ch 6: Constructing a Temporary System
  6.1 Introduction
  6.2 Build Variables
      ...
  6.x Tar-1.15.1
  6.x Bash-3.0

Ch 7: Loading the new system (**)
  Ch 7.0 Decision Time
     7.0.1 Chroot or Reboot?

Ch 7.1: If You Are Going To Reboot
     7.1.1 E2fsprogs-1.37
     7.1.2 Sysvinit-2.86
           ...

Ch 7.2: If You Are Going To Chroot
     7.2.1 Util-linux-2.12q
7.2.2 Mounting Virtual Kernel File Systems
           ...

(**) or Start Her Up, Sam!, or Starting The New System, or something similar...

It flows a little better that way, imbo, but if it's a big task to get sub-chapters like that, then it's not a big deal - doesn't really make much of a difference one way or the other.
