You're absolutely right Chris - I thought the same too! This is another example of his "smoke and mirrors" whilst he is not strictly speaking incorrect, if you factor in the matchday staff - stewards, gatestaff (not contracted out unless showsec lads), etc then the number would come to 500 or so staff, and yes the jobs would be lost...... But it wouldn't be a disaster to the economy would it?
Not exactly lying - but certainly stretching the truth Steve -----Original Message----- From: [EMAIL PROTECTED] [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] On Behalf Of chris briggs Sent: 04 July 2007 16:07 To: [email protected] Subject: [LU] Quick question just pondeing something that bates said, he stated that if leeds ceased to exist that 500 jobs would be lost, is it just me that thinks that is a lot of employees, what do they all do given that most of the services would be contracted out (gate staff, stewards, catering, etc). Did the Goldfish cleaner outer get sacked under a previous regime? _________________________________________________________________ Celeb spotting - Play CelebMashup and win cool prizes https://www.celebmashup.com/index2.html _______________________________________________ the Leeds List is an unmoderated mailing list and the list administrators accept no liability for the personal views and opinions of contributors.
