I assumed that if a challenge came in after day 1, for example, then it
could be actioned immediately?

I also assumed that if 1 challenge came in then any others would be ignored
or put on hold whilst the first was going through the courts. And if it
failed then I also assumed that would be it for any future challenge as it
would have legally tested already whether the admin procedures were followed
correctly and/or KPMG acted properly.

That is why I drew that conclusion. For someone to have decided from the
outset to wait until the very last minute suggests to me that they either
wanted to cause as much disruption for the club as possible, or that they
were hoping for someone else to do the dirty (and costly) work for them.
And/or they weren't entirely confident of their chances in court.

So, are you saying that it wouldn't have mattered if a challenge came in on
day one, KPMG would have waited for the 1 month period before dealing with
them (all)?

I still don't understand why the plan was to wait until the last couple of
hours? Also put this question into context - I see ANY challenge to the CVA
as a disruption for the club. The later the challenge is put in, even if
nothing could be done until the end of the 1 month window, the less time
KPMG/the club has to put together the necessary response, again presumably
extending the time it would take to get it sorted out?
