I couldn't agree more, the last thing we need at the moment is a stadium move, you don't get a prize for having the shiniest stadium in the division.
Now if he had said that he wanted to take the capacity at ER upto 50K, then that would be completely different. Reading through the statement there is mention of providing 25 million for financial stability but no mention of his ambitions for the team or any sort of strategic funding for the purchase of players. I have absolutely no doubt that he is in this to make money and massage his ego and will do fuck all for Leeds United. I also have a problem with the Revie bid, I too think that he is in it for the cash, if his consortium were so flush with cash then I would have thought that they would have come forward as individuals. Revie says that he has the intention of bringing in a 'genius' to build and manage the team, we all know that this sort of thing doesn't happen to 3rd division clubs, the only way he could get someone of that calibre would be to pay them a huge amount of money but along with the genius comes an ego, I would have thought that a manager with credentials that Revie wants would already be in a good job with a better team and would be reluctant to come to a club in the lower reaches. If Morris were to issue a statement that said he was going to build a new stadium near to ER and that 10 to 15 percent of the monies received for development of ER would go into building the team then I would be happier. At the end of the day, there is no saviour to this saga, nobody is going to come riding in on a white charger and deposit a shed load of cash and allow us to continue as a football club without there being something in it for them and it would be extremely naive of us to think so. I would think if Morris is reading waccoe, he isn't reading it to boost his ego. Seems a few don't care too much for him and think that it may be a frying pan, fire situation. His plans appear a tad ambiguous - is the new 50k stadium away from ER, allowing him to redevelop, making him £400M?
