In defence of Morris, much as I'm sure his prime drive is monetary profit;
As I read the reports, of his ambitious proposal it is to build the 50,000
all seat stadium, "AS PART OF" the 400,000,000 redevelopment of the Elland
Road site and surroundings into a leisure/entertainment complex..

That could mean just renovating and adding on to the current ER or it could
involve tearing down the current stadium and rebuilding, a high tech, modern
stadium from scratch.,

The latter case would need a temporary move away to another facility capable
of handling the predictably lower crowds during our exile to the third tier
and our climb back towards the premiership by which time the new ground
should be ready (just don't engage the firm that built Wembley, if you
expect the return to greatness to be a rapid one.),

Maybe under those circumstances the idea of a profitable commercial venture
and the interests of his hometown club are not, mutually exclusive...

Of course, for either scenario, you first have to buy back ER.
