Whenever I travel I wear some sort of Leeds top/jersey and my kids find no end of amazement that EVERY single time someone will point to or mention my top/jersey regardless of continent or country. To which I always add "see I told you so, Leeds are a big club and we are many and proud!". So Sunday morning finds the offspring and I sitting in the waiting room at Fort Lauderdale (Florida, USA) airport...me wearing my "club and country" t-shirt (courtesy Mike Bellwood LUSCNA) and the lady across from me says "excuse me are you a Leeds fan?"..."yes, I am" I reply...she proceeds to tell me her husband is too and called her yesterday from Chicago devastated that Leeds are being relegated. I told her I shared her husband's despair. Later, on the plane ride home my kids turned to me and said "Dad, you're always right, wherever, whenever we travel and you wear a Leeds shirt someone ALWAYS acknowledges it." A huge sense of pride and joy swept over me for I know that no matter what division Leeds play in I'll always be a supporter and will forever bleed "white"...On! On! On!
