Yep - dreadful decision. Thompson probably deserved a yellow for the original foul but all he did afterwards was try to hold the guy back from decking Lewis (who hadn't done anything). Ironically if he'd had done nothing they'd have probably been down to 10 not us. There was another scuffle after the card came out which led to 4 or 5 stewards on the picture holding players apart, ref still didn't find a reason to punish any of theirs. Will never know if it made a difference. We'd done little before the sending off and Casper was dropping everything that came his way, but Southampton looked pretty poor and devoid of ideas so it would have been nice to find out. Matt
