Yep, same here.  Whilst I have a soft spot for the smiley and peacock
badges, and even the new shield one (reminds me of the euro campaigns), I
would love to see the city crest again.

I suspect there may be financial issues though, like not being able to
copyright the badge and therefore have any control over official looking
merchandise!

regarding retro stuff....

i'm sure it's been mentioned before but would any of you like to see the 
'risdale era' shield replaced with something more traditional?

i grew up up with the peacock and the white rose but i'd love to see the 
city's crest on the shirt.
