Pete, Didn't go , too busy changing nappies. Spoke to my mate who went said we were shite and Wise's tactics were yet again questionable. It's ok trying to go for broke and playing 4-2-4 with Healy, Cresswell, Kandol and Moore up front but someone with a bit of ability has to give them the ball ! It's like Liverpool in the 80's playing with 10 Ian Rushs - he wouldn't get a sniff. My mate said that when Cardiff went down to 9 men the Leeds midfield weren't able to put their foot on the ball and play the sort of football that would have hurt a 9 man team. We had one shot on goal in the time they were down to 10. DOuglas and Nichols are just runners and fighters - no quality whatsoever. Look at Chaplow from West Brom - he's the sort of player we need. Unspectacular but just uses the ball simply and effectively. In terms of Walton and Mcphail my mate reckoned that when he saw their team sheet and saw these two line up in midfield that we had a chance. Fact was Mcphail was given the freedom of the park and Walton even with his limited game got the better of our captain. That is depressing indeed. Their goal - he couldn't believe where our keeper was stood. Goal keeping error. He said the chanting was back to the 80's. Istanbul chants from them causing a surge from the Leeds fans similar to Leicester away although this only has one affect - gives the Welsh coppers license to have a go at us.
Finally to Paul, eh up Paul how you doing ? It would be nice to have a match report or informative statement from you once in a while on this list instead of tripe like the following : "Strange then that its basically the same squad that got us to the play off final, eh? Cheers Paul" It's nearly as bad as your "Blackwell won't get sacked before Christmas" comment. I'm not even going to reply to it 'cos it's completely factually incorrect but let's just say that we did have the same squad as when Blackie was here (you have to use your imagination on this one folks - pretend Killa, Miller, Hulse etc were all here - go into Paul's world for a while) and compare Wise's team's form with Blackie's from Christmas. I think you might find there's little difference , in fact you might find that Wise's win ratio is better.
