As I said yesterday, blown out of all proportion, it's something and
nothing if you ask me. Can we move on to beating the taffs now please?!?!
i don't think it's nothing.
there are a few ways i've seen it interpreted but none of them make the club
look good.
worst case, there is a mole. Ok so how many times has he done the same thing
this season? how many passes has he missed on purpose or how many tackles
has he pulled out of? peter taylor has stated that it was a casual
conversation between 2 players but others have heard it was much more than
even handing over a team sheet. now the club is saying they don't know who
is responsible, which makes DW statement that the player in question will
never play again for LUFC a tad stupid and makes the club itself look daft.
if they know who it is and are now keeping quiet it's either for legal
reasons or/and the fact that the player in question will (for the time
being) be worthless in the transfer market. something which the club can't
really afford.
alternatively, the whole mole thing has been blown out of proportion,
peter taylor is correct in his assessment of what happened and DW should
have looked into it before opening his big mouth to the press. perhaps this
is the case and DW used the opportunity to attempt to get rid of a player
for financial reasons. either way it has still made DW & therefore the club
look inept.
finally, it was a motivational tactic from DW. I find it hard to believe
hes clever enough for such a stunt but anyway it backfired and has made him
and the club look like a bunch of amateurs (again).
in any case, it isn't nothing. not for me anyway. it's made LUFC look stupid
and it's damn annoying. im sick and tired of the club being a laughing
stock. Will LUFC ever be run in a professional manner?
