Flippant bastard, but then it's not your life you're pissing about with -
ever heard of Matthew Harding?

Paul,

Whilst I don't completely believe anyones version of the various to and
froing regarding who did, didn't, might have, could have or should have "saved
Leeds United" and I'm fully aware that the whole story will never be told for
whatever reason on the list - although I'd have thought that if any of this
could
be proven it would make for a damn good book.

Aslo although there have been no court action as a result of the Sunday
Mirror story, I also note that the FA does not appear to have followed it up
either.

However, I would like you to qualify the above statement, its one thing to go
on about the various dodgy and murky financial dealings that would surround
the collapse and takeover of any reasonbly large business but to imply that
"these people" have wherewithal to arrange for someone with the profile that
Harding had at the time of his death to have "an accident" surely streches
credibilty - Harding was a media celebrity, stinking rich and presumably had
all the
connections that go with that status and I find it almost impossible to
believe that if there was even the slightest doubt that his death was any more
than
a tragic accident, something would have come out.

Incidentally, the "I could tell you but then I'd have to kill you and anyway
you wouldn't understand all this high powered business stuff anyway" answer is
not an answer.

This aspect of the list gets more like a "Prince Phillip murdered Diana"
website every day.

Finally in regard to the Scratchinshed(s), I don't think anyone on the list
doubts that what was done around the time of the near collapse was done with
high hopes and good intentions and hopefully did some good in keeping LUFC in
existence, what a lot of listers can't cope with is the continual flow and drip
of half bits of rumour, innuendo, semi statements of fact without actually
getting to the full story, as I believe I've posted before in regard to this
area, if theres something to say say it and say it fully with an explanation,
otherwise if the innocent have to be protected then surely it would be better
to
say nothing and the list can get back to Alvin Stardust, curry houses and who
Rich Walker wants bought/sold/sacked....a classic example being the various
reference to the recently published accounts and 40 million "reasons" - AFAIK
the
accounts are public domain, therefore for the benefit of the list can't
someone just post "I've had a look at the Leeds accounts on the Companies House
website and if I've read it right we're paying Vladimir Putin £40 million a
year
to make tea at Gary Kellys house." or whatever, rather than all the "I know
something you don't" stuff.
