Totally agree with you. I want that rebuttal on the record though for next time that Steve starts another campaign of self seeking publicity, and he will. Obviously it looks like some internal scrap between loonie lefties but what do you expect me to do when that sort of open challenge is laid down. There was some dangerous and delusional stuff in Steves challenge. Would you want it left unchallenged and on the record that YOU were somehow entrusted to be the voice of the fans ? With Steve and MG both thinking they can man the barricades in a blaze of glory and all in the belief that they have a mandate from the fans you are on dangerous ground. With Steve wanting to do it all in front of cameras and in the newspapers it is VERY dangerous indeed. I have been round this block a few times already with this well meaning nutter and I know that if unchallenged his next post starts laying out the blame for the Plc going bust, relegation, failing to grasp the opportunity for a blaze of personal glory which would have saved the club and ended world poverty. It's a bit thin on logic and linkage, but some people swallow it. Apparently Ray Fell, Steve Cooke, some proxy votes from Ridsdale, and apparently my own magical powers were all that was needed to prevent the financial meltdown or at the very least to have installed fans in control of the club. The management and entrepreneurial skills required to run two Scottish barbers shops would have been brought fully to bear and would have ensured the smooth running of a Premiership club in Europe. Apparently. Ask yourself what YOU would do if some over enthusiastic publicity seeking loonie contacted newspapers and Radio stations and told them that "we" were about to make a stunning announcement about a take-over or a rescue attempt for an ailing football club. This is a hot item. The phones are all ringing, the radio stations have primed their listeners for the up and coming interview with the spokesman, and the name and phone number that this idiot has given them is not his own, oh no, he is now just the cheer-leader, the number and name is YOURS. All because he thinks that it is time to FORCE you into action. It REALLY happened. That is REALLY what he did. Without permission , without agreement, without warning, and without substance. What happened next ? Well I'm asking you the question - put yourself on the receiving end and then bang! You have been well and truly set up. It's over to you. Deal with it. You have 5 minutes before the lid blows off. This is only a small part of it of course. Periodically he sticks his head over the parapet with another delusional re-write of events and all of which have a twist in that they self-aggrandise Steve himself. Nobody asks him to do this. Nobody wants him to do this. I wish he would just effin shut up about it, but he can't. The light of self publicity is simply too great and the moth ALWAYS returns to it.
