I'm not trying to be difficult about this but the point I suppose is that some people are prepared to do some things that others are not. I realise that this is suggesting much and saying nothing but that is as much as can be said. Of course it remains to be seen if what appeared to be better for the owners actually turns out that way. You might wonder why a former director and shareholder might launch a court case against Bates and if you know of Mr Bates long business history then I think it might remain an open question as to whether or not things always turn out in the way that you have been allowed to believe.
