Although Dave, once the crowd is over about 24,000 (?) the South and North ends
are full so people who want to go either have to pay for membership (somewhat
defeating any saving!) or pay the West / East stand (non family section) 25
quid (with no concessions I believe). Might not seem a vast price, but for a
dad with 2 kids, 31 quid suddenly becomes 75 quid.

It also feels rather begruding - now we're really rubbish and desperate and we
need people so here's a discount. Yes it is time for loyalty, but fans would
feel more inclined to show that loyalty if the club had shown any loyalty or
commitment to them in the last few years (especially the Bates era), rather
than small price reductions to see a desperately struggling team.

We shall see!

David

Subject: [LU] QPR tickets from £15

Well we shall soon see whether all the fans who have stopped going "due to
excessive ticket prices" have been telling the truth or not - the prices for
the home game against QPR start at £15 and all kids tickets for our remaining
games are £8.

So if money has been YOUR big complaint \ reason for not going, here is your
chance to prove it !! A huge crowd would also prove that Bates has got his
pricing policy totally wrong.

  We shall see.

I must admit it pisses me off when I hear phone-in programmes or read message
boards and notice that the same people telling Bates to put his hand in his
pocket are the same ones who refuse to pay a couple of pounds over the odds to
watch "their team" *

On the WBA game, am I the only one on here who really enjoyed it (well second
half anyway) ? I thought we showed great commitment and spirit trying to rescue
a lost cause against a much superior team and I thought the crowd responded
well too.

  Dave
  * Yes I know I don't pay for my ST any more so am being a hypocrite etc
before anyone else says it !!!!
