I'm not parlay to what goes on behind the scenes so I don't know if Kells > is "being shit on" I do hope not, he's a decent man and a loyal servant.
If Wise left Kelly out when he was really fit, playing Foxe in his place, it does seem a bit like cutting his nose off to spite his face but Wise strikes me as the sort of bloke who says "Do it my way or don't do it at all" and several of the cock-ups that cost us goals and games involved Kelly and Butler. (Barnsley away springs to mind). Maybe (and I'm just speculating here, I KNOW nothing) when he bollocked Butler and Kelly for it, they kicked off. It was cheap enough to pay Butler off and send him on his way, but wouldn't be in the case of Kelly, especially as he has stated his intention to retire at the end of his contract and not move down the Leagues and so would not be amenable to such a move. This apart, I feel Wise has done a pretty decent job in picking up on the problems we had and attempting to put them right. It hasn't been perfect (signing Kandol is a big bollock dropped IMHO) but by and large he's done OK.
