I don't disagree that Healy's service has been crap and being played out of position at times obviously doesn't help - but i also think he's the sort of player whose shoulders drop when things aren't going well. I saw the NI - Denmark game and he was superb chasing across the pitch to close down defenders - don't see him doing that much for Leeds. I'd also like it if he actually tried jumping to try and win a header occassionally rather than alternately fouling the defender or running behind and hoping they miss it.
I think he's probably our best player but is capable of more than what we've seen from him so far. His shooting , which is usually his strong point seems to have deserted him and there's no justification at all for him being in the side. Carrick is similar. In my opinion the worse midfielder ever to turn out in an England shirt (yes , even worse than Carton Palmer and Geoff Thomas - remember that miss !?). Carrick was another player who never really broke through at West Ham. Always deemed a good young player with potential. Well, he's shit and I can only laugh at Scum who paid well over the odds for him. I watched him in the Scum v Arsenal game and he was completely out of his depth. He's slow and ponderous and he just isn't suited to a fast tempo game. Coupled with Lampard you have to ask questions about Mclaren and Tel.
