I guess like you I started following the gods in the late 60's and so for 7
years I was used to winning or if not, losing in finals or being 2nd etc.

However that isn't ever going to happen again is it? we'll never be able to
match the money chelsea, manu etc have and frankly that's all that going to
matter as regards winning Premier league or europe. We are in the same
position as 90% or Football fans are 90% of the time.

Its going to be a long hard struggle to even get back to an outside chance
of europe, so in the meantime I'll enjoy the little bits of joy that we get
handed and so far this season has seen some reasons to be cheerful. The
attitude of the players in certainly million time better than a couple of
years ago. If i really hated the players or manager or chairman enough to
boo after a decent performance - which most people agree Sunday was, i
wouldn't bother going anymore (as it is I only do 10 or so away games and
maybe 1 or 2 at ER - but that's down to geography and other commitments.) I
honestly think that most of the players play to their best ability given the
circumstances most of the time. Having had limited time to gel as a team
and a inexperienced manager all take their toll, but I honestly think that
unlike the tossers who took us down, they do their best and want to win for
Leeds Utd and the fans.

Watching morrison whack the ball in against us at Palace, was depressing,
but we didn't boo, we cheered the team to the rafters, because they had
given 110% or even more, I hope that's going to start happening everyweek,
but it takes time. as an away fan the greatest thing (after winning) for me
to see the the other sets of fans booing or heckling their players.

> I need a lie down!

Oi, none of that 110% remember ;-)
