To be honest , this whole "we we're unlucky" line from blackwell doesn't
wash with me. Conceding 5 goals in the closing stages of matches is simply
not good enough. It points to a lack of fitness , a lack of concentration or
poor tactics. I'm afraid that he is responsible for these things.
Also , i saw us win plenty of games last season that we had no right to
(wolves home and burnley away spring immediately to mind). We have deserved
more than we've got from the games this season but these things tend to even
out in football and i felt we rode our luck too much last season. Plus , as
Andy Gray always says "if you don't score when you're on top you can't
grumble if the other team nicks a goal". To my mind we only had one clear
cut opportunity yesterday (the carole chance) the rest being half chances ,
mainly rising from their keeper. If we can't convert posession into goals
we're fucked. We look short on confidence going forward - who's fault is
that?
