i) Cardiff
I suppose I'm regarded as one of the "Blackwell in" brigade simply because I
don't see any point in sacking him now. There is no time for a new manager
to change the team and it would mean us shelling out more compensation when
by Bates' own account we are potless. Now is not the time to judge but
November/December is. Lets be clear, I am not happy about Blackwell's
tactics against Cardiff or his post match comments which were ridiculous. He
should not have slagged Beckford, I thought we improved when he came on
although it didnt take much to improve.
I put his comments down to being under pressure, lets face it some of the
people on this list have been waiting for a bad start simply so they can say
"I told you so". He knows the wolves are waiting, lets show a bit of loyalty
to someone who has acted decently to us.
ii) Bet 24 Shirt Offer
I not sure if I have seen this on the list but if you open a new account
(www.bet24.com) and make £24 worth of bets (odds at least 2/1 against) you
get a new home Leeds shirt. I've done it and they have just confirmed my
shirt is on its way. The cheapest I have seen the shirts retail at is £30 so
you cant lose if you havnt got one and fancy one - I also won a few quid
which was nice.
