I read on another website that we've sold 9,000 season tickets. That's not many.
I hold my hand up and say as a season ticket holder of more than a decade I haven't come back this season having not renewed last. A large part of that is down to the cost, both real and comparative - ie it's a lot, and it's the highest compared to our competitors. I'm not saying you switch clubs for the cheapest like you'd switch washing machine manufacturer, I mean it's gauling that our season tickets (Leeds, highest price 726) are way more than other Championship sides (Sheff W highest price 500, Wolves 522, Palace 630), and on a par or more than many Premier League clubs (Man City highest price ST 550, Villa 475, Blackburn 460, Liverpool 660, Man U 741). These prices are just not going to encourage anyone back, especially when the footie has been so average (and even though I'm not an ST holder any more I've been enough times to know). Bit depressing really.
