VB (Victoria Bitter) being the local produce is extremely popular here in, surprise surprise Victoria

If you think thats the bollox, then Carlton Draught (the main stuff thru the taps) or Melbourne Bitter is even better

BTW - Dont be confused by the names - As you lot know and understand beer, niether Victoria nor Melbourne Bitter are "Bitters" and Carlton Draught, isnt a "draught" beer either

Still - tastes good but

Subject: [LU] Non LU - But all about beer

Our provincial government is getting smarter - it allows the importation of some more pretty darned good beer to be sold in their liquor stores.  I had the pleasure of buying a Victoria Bitter, a product from Oz.  Marvellous taste.

Now, can you lads in England tell me how beer is sold for off-site drinking...in other words...where wold you go to buy beer to take home.......and approx. Cost for a dozen......in cans or bottles?

Much obliged.  I'm trying to find out how much we are behind the rest of the world.  British Columbia is in the dark ages when it comes to liquor sales.
