I'm sure when he took over at Celtic, he turned them around - Rangers had won about 7 titles in a row, had more money and more buying power through their status. It's difficult to really know how good any manager is in a situation like the SPL - but he kept Leicester in the Prem for years on a shoestring budget, and there is something very likeable about him, perhaps because he's straight-talking and passionate about the game.
