Don't necessarily disagree - but it's a subjective judgement and the ITV commentators / analysts - who like Blackwell we have to credit with some knowledge of the game called the decisions as below.

Sorry Matt, Butler did NOT foul their keeper before Hulse was rugby tackled.  Butler was shoved out of the way by their keeper.

As for pushing/raising hands – maybe you should watch it again but concentrate on what Mackay did every attacking corner.  Butler had the run in with Mackay, not Henderson.. the ref got it wrong in talking to henderson.

There is always a bit of holding/pushing at corners.  The line should be drawn at clear shoves on players as they are jumping (when Butler was fouled), clear body checks on runs (every Preston corner), or rugby tackles (when Hulse was fouled).

The Butler/Hulse fouls were clear, in an active area.

On the luck thing - i finally got round to watching the ITV highlights last night.

Their analysis seemed to show that;

Watford should have had a penalty for Kelly holding Young at a corner
Butler could have been sent off for raising his hands to Henderson at another corner
Butler actually fouled the keeper before Hulse was rugby tackled for 'our' penalty
We headed one off the line in the second half.
So maybe luck evened out within the game

Agree about the throw in, was easy to see on the replay when I got home.
Dunno about the shot going wide or not though.

All I'm saying is "luck" evens out usually. Probably a few matches we've won
this season as well as lost that could be put down to "luck" but it's just
the way football is. The ball isn't perfectly round, the grass isn't flat,
and humans make mistakes. That's football.
