I've been reading Paula's updates on the WhatsApp group too - they certainly do seem to be having a hard time (understatement!)
I understand Paula's concerns regarding Steve's treatment, not so much the medical stuff, but the general "care" concerning pain management, food etc - having gone through some of this with relatives, it does seem that different departments don't seem to talk to each other. Paula has my sympathy and Steve is certainly in my thoughts. As you say John, just thinking about them does seem rather pointless, but I'm not sure there's a lot more we can do. Maybe it is a little help to Paula, knowing that so many people are rooting for them both.
