Obviously I have no idea but Poveda seems to have a bit of Saiz about him that
he can get the ball turn and drive at people. This is something different that
opposing massed defences have to handle, kind of like Eze at QPR (can't we just
buy him?). Maybe this will open up spaces for others.

Not sure how much of a "debacle " QPR was. A penalty turned down at 00 and
before Bamfords confidence e was shot for the day., followed by a 'goal ' that
no one in the football world thinks should have stood, then we missed a penalty
late on. Yes the result was awful but the performance etc was not that badFans
are losing it for 2 reasons,-  one last season and the awful collapse,  we all
worry that history is repeating itself Second is the recall of Nketiah,
despite him being less than peripheral whilst he was here, and the , as yet,
failure to replace him. Again history is against us, in 2 or 3 previous seasons
the lack of activity in January appears to have cost us promotions
As for Orta etc, his first job was to get numbers in and quickly but with his
hands tied by a very strict wage structure that meant we paid less than our
rivals ( good discussion by Phil hay on square ball podcast), so we ended up
with Grot, Cibiski etc etc
Finally for reasons I don't understand given our large income compared with
most ,we struggle with the financial rules, which seem to be a straight jacket
for us. I half understand the reluctance to breach it but if we had the balls
of Villa and go  ' promotion puts us out of their reach' and fail and get
massive points deduction would fans be ok or not ?
Given west brom going worse than us recently and brentford,  Fulham and forest
all dropping unexpected points things are still very much in our own hands.
Beat Millwall and Wigan and things will look miles better
The new lad from City , signing as I type, could give us a boost  - he seems a
'wild card' and if he can give us that unpredictability we lack at times he
could be the shot in the arm we need ( provided Bielsa gives him a game !)The
future is still white, keep the faith

mentioned some good stuff but add to that the FFP rules and it looks like
nothing dramatic is going to happen on the incoming player front this time
around other than lonees. So, unless we get promotion with the current squad, I
would reckon Bielsa will use the wood he has got until the end of this season
(when the current FFP cap ends). The coffers may then be opened and a real push
made for promotion. (Not that this year's attempt isn't real, but you get my
drift?).BettySent from a field of green
