Yes that's one point of view but I think Shackleton and Philips are currently
championship players who can do a job effectively whereas Clarke might not be
as consistent but has that ability to do something different. Drop his shoulder
and beat his man and open up the opposition. You don't see that in many
youngsters and that's for me what makes him different. We should have kept him
and I'm mightily pissed off he's gone to sit in the Spurs reserves.
Ken Bates used to get abuse for this yet 'Radz' doesn't. Yes he's bought back
the ground and invested in a great manager who nearly worked miracles with an
over achieving team but where's the investment ? Barry Douglas ? He's just
doing what all the previous owners have and profiting from our youngsters.
Makes me sick.
