In my opinion, the FFP rules are there to protect the clubs that first forced
UEFA to create the Champions League, and then enriched themselves from it,
allowing them to create a global market for their "brands," thus ensuring a
steady stream of "football" income. They were horrified when Sheikh Mansour
bought Man City and put his money where his mouth was, and quickly set about
ensuring that nobody else was going to be allowed to crash their party. That's
why they've designed rules that stop anyone seriously investing in a club. They
are trying to get rid of the cyclical nature of football, and make sure that
Bayern, Real Madrid, Arsenal, etc. etc. can maintain their dominance of their
domestic leagues ad infinitum.

Cheers!

Sean

Yes, but they are the reason the FFP legislation was brought in - and it ends
up
punishing mid level second division teams.

Load of old bollocks.
