I know, my statement is not juridically soundproof, it wasn't meant to be.

As it happens, Jonas Maebe (one of the compiler people) is very active in 
this area; He has been following the debates in the EU parliament closely,
and is a member of the FFII. I will ask him what the current status is, 
and what the possible dangers are for FPC.
