I believe that asking for it on website/mailing list/whatever other way wont help, because people want product which works. They don't want to "lose time" answering questions. I daily use Eclipse for Java development, and I have usage info turned on to automatically send info in the background. I was clearly asked if I want to do it or not before first action.
