Not sure if this was suggested, but how about: using video capture in
LV, saving low frame rate video as AVI using the IMAQ VIs. Save off 1
file per part, with a suitably descriptive filename to tag it to the
data.

I'm sure you could find a way to compress AVI to MPEG4 either under LV
control on the fly, or via post processing. Or, you could just to a
batch process later on if it was required.

Ben

Take a look at NI Diadem. This software is made specifically to do this
type of different format database correlation. You can click in a data
table and it automatically displays the corresponding video frame, and
vice
versa - advance/Rewind the video panel and the corresponding data
point(s)
is highlighted in a table or on a graph. Very flexible and powerful.
Kinda pricey, but very economical compared to trying to program the
functionality yourself if it is needed (and sounds like it might be).

You still have to acquire the data (others have offered guidance), but
Diadem allows the manipulation you allude to in the message below.

It may be way more than what is needed in your application, but probably
warrants a look anyway.

Ordinarily, yes. But there is a need to connect the video images to
the data....
