Take a look at NI Diadem. This software is made specifically to do this
type of different format database correlation. You can click in a data
table and it automatically displays the corresponding video frame, and vice
versa - advance/Rewind the video panel and the corresponding data point(s)
is highlighted in a table or on a graph. Very flexible and powerful.
Kinda pricey, but very economical compared to trying to program the
functionality yourself if it is needed (and sounds like it might be).
You still have to acquire the data (others have offered guidance), but
Diadem allows the manipulation you allude to in the message below.
It may be way more than what is needed in your application, but probably
warrants a look anyway.

Ordinarily, yes. But there is a need to connect the video images to
the data....
