Hi All, To start off, I made a major mistake. I migrated labview 6.1 application to 7.0 with out saving copies of the 6.1 vis. This application is very complex and worked with little or no up keep for the last three version of labview. Due to a set of circumstances that I won't bore you with, I did the above. Now I'm having bazaar occurrences. Missed steps, non-functioning portion of the application. Things will work in the development environment but not after it's compiled. I tried saving as 6.1 but there are too many errors.
Because this application was initiated in version 3 something, it doesn't have all the bells and whistles of 7.0. In fact per today's definitions it's not written correctly. What I'm seeing is code within loops not completely functioning before later parts of the code, outside the loop start. My question, what are some of the major changes between 6.1 and 7.0 that can cause problems? Is racing more prevalent in 7.0? If you have any suggestions I would appreciate hear them.
