As a translator, I think that easily accessible and stable translation service is more important than what the service platform is run on.
If we are keeping encountering problems like this, I suggest cooperate with Transifex.net service. They have done a very stable translation platform. Furthermore, many open source projects also cooperate with them, including Fedora, Mageia, MeeGo, xfce. For example, transifex does not support ts file (Qt translation) before version 1.0. When MeeGo project decides to use Qt as their main toolkit, Transifex.net developed that feature for MeeGo in 1.0 version. And now it is quite easy to translate MeeGo on Transifex.net. I believe Transifex.net will happily to cooperate with LibreOffice too.
