I wanted to ask around to see what the current opinion is about the
KX-TAW848 in regards to the recent 4.0 update. I have shunned it for
residential use because the first two we installed residentially nearly got
yanked due to the poor support of CID features. I understand that 4.0
addressed these issues, but I don't know if it's safe to have another go at
the clients' expense. I have also been told that the PC software is still
lacking. I don't know if that opinion was using the 824 s/w as a benchmark,
or just generally comparing with other systems' software. I know this is a
watered down TDA-50, and although we would love to get set up as a certified
dealer for the digital systems, we just don't move the volume that Panny
wants to see. This is the closest I can get!
