Hi,

Thanks for the suggestion. I checked the connection and it appears to be
fine. What I did notice though is that the circuit board of the power
supply (I imagine the power supply goes across the whole bottom of the
unit) has several badly leaking capacitors.

Anyway I've ordered a second hand KX-TD816 to replace it, as the repair
cost of getting a new PSU would have been more.

Incidentally though, for future reference, can someone explain how to
put the cover back on it once you've taken it off? There appears to be a
clip on the PSU circuit board that is blocking the cover from going back
on.

Regards,
Edward

We had the power cable from the power supply to the circuit board come
loose
one time, Pull the cover off and look at internal wiring connections.

Hi,

Recently I reorganized my home office a bit, and in the process
relocated
the phone system cabinet to the other side of the room. Since moving it,
I've been unable to get it to switch on.

The power light doesn't even come on - but I've verified the cable and
power
source. I'm thinking somehow the power supply might have been on its
last
legs, and switching it off and back on (as it always runs
continuously) might have finally killed it?

If so, has anyone replaced one and how difficult is it? Considering the
age
of the system (7 years), if the repair cost is going to be more than a
couple of hundred dollars, it'd be cheaper to get a second hand one off
eBay.

Regards,

Edward
