Here is an interesting problem.  I have a KXTD1232-6 with 7 ext's. On
one ext that had a kxt7130 desk phone all of the 4 voice lines had a lot
of scratchy static, and in fact sometimes all 4 lines would go dead,
intercom and the phone itself were alive, at least the screen was on
with date/time.  I took the phone from the jack it was plugged into and
tried it elsewhere and it worked fine.  I also plugged the phone into a
patch panel for the ext's, that lead to all the ext's, and it would be
fine there. So you would think that the line from the patch panel to the
wall jack for that phone is bad.  So I had it checked out, without any
real findings of problems.  But if I bring another phone, a KXT7433 to
the same dead or scratchy ext it works fine, so much for a bad line?
Also the phone(KXT7130) that wasn't working will then work at another
ext just fine. So bad phone, I don't know.  I also brought another ext
from home, a KXT7020 and tried it at the bad ext and it too either was
scratchy or dead, yet it worked fine elsewhere or directly at the patch
panel going to that ext.

I'd love some ideas?
