I had a problem a few years ago where outside ringers were going off on
Sunday morning. Unit was an 816 with CID. We had a power failure and the
local Telco clock was out a few hours.

As the 816 only syncs once per 24 hours, (the first incoming call after a
specific time) it can, if given false information by the Telco, run
off-schedule for the full day.

Using a device with CID in only valid if it took its reading at on the same
incoming call that the CID card did, otherwise these readings have little
value.

The manual says it's at 3 am, but it shouldn't be setting to January 1!

The 990 parameters for Area 5 were set to "1111111111111110"

Caller ID appears to be working on the telephone sets.

CID resets the time after 1am from the CO. Check the system 990 parameters
to see how it is set.

Subject: KX-T: KX-TD1232 CID Time Reset

Hello!

I am having a strange problem with a KX-TD1232-6!

If I program the system to automatically set the time from Caller ID
(Program 990, Area 05, Bit 1), The system soon resets the entire clock to
12:00
January 1 2006! Of course, this screws up all of the Day/Night Mode
settings!

This is a useful feature, but I'm stumped why it is not working . . .

Incidentally, I also have a cheap Caller ID unit on the same CO line, and
it
shows the proper time!

Any clues??

Thanks!
