During my TVA training class at Panasonic in Orange County, CA, The TVA  ver 
1.0 programming tool wouldn't install properly on my laptop.  It appeared to 
install, but after install when I clicked the resulting .exe program, I would 
see an hourglass for 250ms then nothing.  The TVA program would not start.  
There were no error messages.

I uninstalled the program, rebooted, disabled all protection software (norton 
internet security, norton antivirus, and spysweeper), and reinstalled.  Still 
same problem - it won't start.  I don't think this is a driver issue, as I am 
not trying to connect to a TVA at this time, just trying to run the program by 
itself as we did in class (on my workmate's computer).

The instructor had tried to find out what the problem might be, but was told 
there was no solution, by Panasonic Tech Support.

Recently, I downloaded the newer version 1.1 and have the same problem on this 
computer.  I even removed the program and reinstalled.  Same problem.

I am hoping that someone else has had this problem and a solution has been 
found.  I couldn't find any similar problem in the forum.

I can send you any log files you might need to troubleshoot this problem.  

The computer is a Compaq, R3000z, running WindowsXP, SP2.

Please advise what I should do next to solve this problem.  Thank you.
