Sounds like the perfect opportunity to upgrade to a TDA50.

I have a situation of a 1232 that the customer does not know the password to
his 1232. I will be taking this unit over and I know of no bad details, but
the installer will not provid/change the password. Is there a way, short of
default, that I can get the password from the system or place it in a state
