I had an issue the other day on a new install with a KXTA1232-2 and the latest download of the Windows Programming Software from the b2b site.
I changed the extension numbers for all 8 extensions currently connected (The cabling contractor must have punched down the wire BEFORE they labeled them), to the KXTA 1232-2. So in other words, JACK 01 is extension 112 and JACK 12 is EXT101 and so on, times 8 Extensions. The client wanted immediate ringing on ext 101 & 102, and delayed ringing on 4 other extensions, and no ringing on two. I also like to program 6 rings-delayed to the vmail ports for AA backup (Day Mode) in most small, busy offices. Ok that's the setup, here is the weird issue I had today, when I connected via the software, using interactive programming, I went to the EXTNS -> DIL1:N - Line Assignments Tab, then made all my changes for delays in Day and night, clicked apply then OK. When I click on the same tab to verify the settings, the changes I made were not in the right extension-jack assignment. I have repeated this in practically every combination and have back traced with no results and I cannot figure out why these changes are not being saved to the right Spaces in the database table. Ok so I checked an 848, kxtd1232, and a new 824, and cannot get the same results. Has anyone had issues with the KXTA1232 Software where it shifts data during the upload? BTW: Yes I did default the system before I started. Yes I did restart the application and the PC. YES I DID finally program it from the darn phone! -- Thank you, John Berry San Diego, CA -- This message has been scanned for viruses and dangerous content by MailScanner, and is believed to be clean.
