....And that in turn means that if ATHQ.com attempts to sell products
for which manufacturer require certified dealer status or equivalent,
and they are selling outside of the limits of the dealer agreement
terms, then they are engaged in FRAUD, plain and simple.

The fraud occurs because buyers have legitimate grounds to expect a
certain level of service from an authorized dealer or rep for a major
manufacturer as per the manufacturer's advertising; and the
unauthorized "dealer" is profiting from that association while not
living up to the manufacturer's terms. This in turn also harms the
manufacturer's legitimate interest in its brand equity and product
reputation.

Panasonic, for one, does not tolerate that kind of BS, and pursues
legal action where necessary. Panasonic's dealer agreement specifies a
maximum 4-hour transportation radius to client sites, and forbids
advertising of prices online, specifically to prevent the selling of
product outside of a dealer's service radius. The point being that a
dealer should be able to dispatch a technician to a site for emergency
repairs on a same-day basis if needed, and the technician must be able
to get to site with adequate time to complete a repair.

Those fraudulent "dealers" don't know or care what they're selling, and
their customers end up buying equipment that can't be serviced. In
some cases, can't even be installed because it takes a certified dealer
to provide the legitimate software for the product (e.g. Panasonic
KXTDA).

Bottom line: "low low prices" are an example of "if it looks too good
to be true, it probably is." Don't get screwed.

No offence - fine print reads:
