Jim, from the viewpoint of wiring, your way is best. It helps to have things in order, especially on small systems, so that when something goes down you can easily determine where the problem is. To do it by programming, you only need to reprogram the co keys on the phone. That can be done at individual phones via PROG 99, or by the manager phone with sys prog 005, or by pc programming.
