That's strange, for several reasons...

        The POTS model has to swallow 300V peaks from the ringing

        The Pana. digital is the other pair anyhow.

If anything is FUBAR from that, it's the "power adapter". Note the
"digital" and "POTS" UFO's are identical {well, except for labels}
and it's the "power adapter" that makes it POTS vs other.

But Polycom told me most failures are in the UFO itself.

Also note their exchange price is $100.00.

I just went through this. I bought another Polycom on eBay, this
time the external-mike model. Short of fixing the room acoustics,
I'm not sure what else we can do. The "pro" option is individual
mikes at each chair, with speaker switching {i.e. Joe talks,
the speakers near Joe mute..} etc. AND also fix the acoustics.
