We use and have suggested to our customers many times a feature from Verizon 
here in NJ that is $3 a month and is called 3 way call transfer. It doesn't 
tie up any lines. Once you flash the line and dial the new party and they 
answer, you hang up and the line is cleared and the call is connected. There 
is no loss of audio and simple line message units or LD apply.
