Charles:

We have (unlabeled) VMT buttons on (most) phones, so we coach everyone on the following (and I forget most times I am in the office where the system is installed):

press the Transfer button, then 165 (assuming 165 is the start of the extension group for your VM)
press #6 (to get into the correct mode with the VM)
enter desired voice mailbox (works with phantom or blind VM boxes too)
hang up (fast) otherwise the caller will not hear all of the message

If you program a VMT button, the caller always hears all of the outgoing message, and you do not have to dial 165 or #6.

Good Luck

I have a KX-TD1232 with a TVS-50 attached to it. I must be missing somthing easy here. The AA and voicemail work fine when no one answers the phone, however I cant figure out how to transfer a incomming call to a VM box (ie hes not here right now, would you like his voicemail?)

Your probably going to ask me all sorts of questions on how I currently have these set up, and I can probably get the answers, but remember Im a noob. Also the MessageWaiting light works, but when you hit the Message button on the phones it says not valid. To access VM you have to dial 166 not 165?

Thanks in advance for helping an <word sequestered by mind police>!
