Paul,  We still install only 6c jacks for phones and fax, even though the cable behind 
it is Cat 5.

We have gotten into arguments with so many IT experts that insist we use 8c jacks 
everywhere.  The 6c plug will deform 
pin 1 and 8 of most 8c jacks.  When they later decide to use that jack for data, it 
either doesn't work or is flaky.  
If they need the data connection, we pop the jack and pop in an 8c.  Of course, if 
it's an ATT/Lucent/Avaya/(put new 
name here) phone system, yer in heaven, they need 8c. 

Randy,  A few years ago that was added to our bid list. "Does customer move people 
often?"  I agree on the 66Ms, so 
much easier and reliable.  But I don't want our techs living there doing simple weekly 
moves.  The last thing I want to 
see is the customer's "Reserved for Copier Repair Tech" or "Reserved for SBC" signs 
replaced with our name!
