Micael:

The strange thing is that I upgraded from a KX-TD1232-1 to a
KX-TD1232-6. On the old system I got the CID just fine, but now it seems
to say "out of area" for many local calls.

I am also having trouble setting up the CID substitution table. Even
though I give it some substitue names for some numbers the system seems
to ignore them and just give the name as per the LEC.

Any suggestions?

Joe

Out of Area is sent by the LEC or a lot of the time in our area a CLEC
(Competitive Local Exchange Carrier). The caller's name is not set up
in
the switch and since no info is sent "OOA" is displayed. It's not the
KSU.

If a call comes in on CO2 by itself, does it show up ok?

If it does, check to insure call waiting is turned on at the phone
intercom
7311 and also turn on call waiting tone 2, program 99 5 2 store.

If not, insure caller id is turned on in programming for CO2 (prog 201
or
202 I think) and you have subscribed to CID from the phone company.

Subject: KX-T: CID on CO2

I have the KX-TD1232 with KXT193 CID card installed. The CID works fine
except for 2 points.

1) for some reason many local calls come across with the right number on
top

and "out of area" on the bottom. Is there any reason for this? can I
fix
it?

2) If I am on line 1(co1) and a call comes in on line 2 it just says
CO2. Is
there any way to get CID showing up instead of CO2?

Thanks
Joe
